This quick start guide is for manufacturers to use GSO Conformity Tracking System.
Important Notes
According to GSO technical regulations:
The manufacturer is the entity which owns the product brand.
Type examination certificates are issued to manufacturers only.
The manufacturer should be registered in the conformity tracking system as an economic operator.
The manufacturing location of the product (the factory) can be the same entity or a different entity.
GSO Account
To access the GCTS system you need to have an account in GSO Directory.
If you don’t have you can, kindly check the guide to Sign Up for an account in GSO Directory
Economic Operator
Use your GSO Account to log in to GSO Conformity Tracking System.
Manufacturers should be registered as an Economic Operator Records
If your product already has a GCTS, it means you are already registered as an economic operator, kindly contact the notified body to grant you access to your economic operator record.
Product
Manufacturers can register their own Products Records and assign them to one of GSO Notified Bodies.
If your product already has a GCTS, and the notified body granted you access to your economic operator profile, you should see the records of your products.
Certificates
Certificates are registered in the system via the notified body only.
The manufacturer can view the certificates of his products, all updates/amendments on certificates should be done by the notified body. Once the notified body issued a certificate for a product the product details can’t be edited by the manufacturer, it should be edited by the notified body only.
Importers Registrations
The manufacturer can register his importers as economic operators and then register them as importers for one of his certified products, kindly check Importers & Distributors Registration
Importers can register themselves as economic operators and then request to be importers for any certified products, but the manufacturer needs to activate their registration.
On any change to the importer economic operator details, the manufacturer needs to review the change and re-activate their registration as importers.
